As part of our 2025 climate and resilience strategy, we are delighted to announce our new partnership with The Hare's Corner – a brilliant initiative that helps landowners and communities across Ireland build climate adaptation through nature.
At RSA , we believe in being a force of good in the communities we serve. By teaming up with The Hare's Corner, we’re supporting an initiative that promotes climate resilience, biodiversity, and wellbeing through simple, practical actions.
Who are The Hare's Corner?
The Hare's Corner is all about empowering people to take small but meaningful steps to support nature. From planting native trees and digging ponds to creating pollinator patches, the initiative provides practical support to schools, landowners and communities.
The term ‘hare’s corner’ is an old farming expression for the corner of a field which wasn’t intensively farmed - instead it was ‘left to nature,’ and this is exactly what the charity is all about.
Since launching in 2021, The Hare's Corner has helped create over 1,600 wildlife-friendly habitats, with a goal of reaching 3,100 across seven counties by 2025. In 2024 alone, the programme improved access to nature for over 30,000 people and inspired thousands to take further action for the environment.
Together we can support climate adaptation by bringing nature back into our communities, supporting a more resilient, biodiverse Ireland.
