Sponsorship of National Assistant Professional Championship

For the 8th year running RSA provided a welcome and competitive boost for the Assistant Professional ranks by sponsoring the National Assistant Professional Championship.

The sponsorship incorporated support for 4 regional Assistant Pro-Am events with the leading players at each regional event participating in the final Asst Pro-Am tournament which was staged on the eve of the National Championship.

Patrick Nally from RSA hopes the sponsorship will continue to stimulate the competitive spirit for the next generation of Irish Professionals. 'We are very pleased to support the National Assistant Professional Championship again this year event and in doing so provide a boost to the Assistants taking part in our regional outings. These aspiring players are kept busy learning their trade in golf clubs around the country and studying for their PGA exams. We know they welcome the opportunity to pit their skills against other Assistant Professionals in a competitive environment'.

The Southern Branch of the Irish PGA has endorsed the events and co-ordinated the players participation throughout.
