As sponsor of Ireland’s National Cricket Teams, RSA was delighted to host a farewell reception for the Senior Men’s Cricket Squad prior to their departure for the upcoming Cricket World Cup qualifying tournament in South Africa. The event, in RSA House, Dundrum was attended by a number dignitaries including His Excellency, British Ambassador to Ireland, Mr David Reddaway; Her Excellency, Pakistan Ambassador to Ireland, Mrs Naghmana Hashmi and Mr. Tara Chand, Chief of Mission, India Embassy to Ireland. |

Leading figures from the Irish Sports Council, The Northern Ireland Sports Body, Cricket Ireland, the Media and of course, the men’s senior team squad and officials were also present.
Addressing guests Philip Smith, CEO RSA Ireland, recalled the stunning performance by the Irish team in the previous Cricket World Cup and their superb record of success in each of the major tournaments that Ireland participated in throughout 2008. Philip wished the team and officials every good wish as they set out on another major campaign.
